How GrantMark handles your information

GrantMark is a Canadian government funding platform. This page says what the site collects, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. It describes what the site does today, in plain words.

Statement 01

Who we are

GrantMark is based in Canada. The founder of GrantMark holds responsibility for the personal information kept here. To reach them, use the contact form. This site publishes no email address and no phone number, so the form is the way to reach GrantMark.

Statement 02

What we collect, and why

The eligibility check. When you answer the thirteen questions, we keep your answers and the contact details you type: your name, company, work email, and your website and phone number if you give them. We use them to screen programs and to reach you about the result. We record your IP address with the submission.

The website scan. When you paste a website address, the site reads that website’s public pages and draws an inference about the business from them. We keep what it inferred for 30 days per website, so a second check of the same site does not read it again.

A call request. When you ask for a call, we keep your phone number and when you are free, so a person can arrange it. We send a copy of the request to Telegram, a messaging app, so that person sees it promptly.

Google sign-in. When you save your results with Google, we keep your Google account id, your email and your name, so your results stay under your account. We post nothing to Google for you.

The server log. Like most websites, the server records your IP address, your browser and the pages you visit. We keep the log for 30 days, for security and to count visits.

Finding a website. When a company gives no website, we ask a search service for it, using the company name.

This site runs no analytics trackers and no advertising cookies.

Statement 03

Who else sees it

OpenRouter, and the model provider behind it, receives the text of a website you paste for the scan, and nothing else. Telegram receives call requests. Google handles the sign-in. The search services above receive a company name. We sell nothing, and nothing goes to advertisers.

Statement 04

How long we keep it

We keep your answers, contact details, results and call requests until you ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them. We keep what the website scan inferred for 30 days, a scan session for 24 hours, and the server log for 30 days.

If we have done paid work for you, we keep the record of that work.

Statement 05

Your choices

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and you can stop email at /unsubscribe in one click. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you or your company, or to withdraw consent, use the contact form and name the company or address. We act on those requests.

The form asks for your consent to email, as Canada’s anti-spam law requires.

Statement 06

Cookies

If you sign in as a customer, one cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days. People who operate the site have one of their own. There are no other cookies.
